Looking to bring a new twist Thanksgiving dinner? South Dakota offers a spring and fall turkey hunting season to both residents and nonresidents. The spring season application process opens in mid January with a late February deadline. The tradition start for the season is the second Saturday in April, running through the third Sunday in May. The fall season application process opens in mid June with a late July deadline. The season traditionally runs from October 1st through January 31st. All this for only $400 plus tax per hunter. Lodging is also available at $40 a night plus tax. |
